Antique Turkish Copper Tray | Ottoman Era
Vintage Turkish copper tray. (circa 1800-1850) Construction: Solid Copper with tin overlay; hand-hammered and engraved with significant patterning and detail. Extremely heavy piece, with wonderful raised edge.
Copper trays such as this piece were the traditional gift from parents to child upon the child's marriage. Given its fancy design and very heavy weight, this was likely such a gift amongst a wealthier family during the Ottoman Era.
