Our overdyed patchwork rugs are made from vintage and antique hand-knotted rugs of all types, which are sewn together, and overdyed with varying dyes, to create a tonal, almost monochromatic, rug that marries the richness of traditional Turkish carpets with a modernist sensibility well-suited to today's contemporary home. Each joining seam is then hand-stitched together, and decoratively trimmed, so all seams are both sturdy and attractive. The rug is then backed with a heavyweight canvas.
