Threshing Board

Originally used to separate wheat from chaff, our vintage threshing boards are perhaps the most-commented-on wood primitives in the gallery. Almost everyone who walks through our doors has to stop, touch, ask questions, and generally admire these distinctive pieces.

While each board is made from different wood, all share the same surface of embedded pieces of flint, jadite, and quartz. Our clients have incorporated threshing boards into their homes by standing them against a wall, or laying them down and covering the rocks with glass to make a coffee table. We even created a custom light fixture for above a client's bar with a threshing board, directional lights, and old logging chain. Fantastic! And a great conversation piece, no matter how you incorporate it into your home.
