As a general rule, long pile in a rug is a sign of poor quality weaving. However, Turkish Yatak (shag) is the exception to that rule.  Originally made for use as sleeping mats, our Turkish Yatak collection demonstrates what a long-pile rug should look – and feel - like. 

Each yatak features the softest of hand-spun wools which are then dyed with vegetal materials, ensuring the softest most luxurious texture you’ve ever experienced in a wool rug!   The pile on these pieces runs between 2-3 inches, which makes them ideal for anywhere you’re likely to want to lay on the floor – in front of a fireplace, in the tv room, or perhaps in your den.  Read a book, play a game of scrabble, or just lay back and listen to your favorite music.  The yatak will make you feel like a sultan, no matter what you are doing!
