Construction:  Solid Copper with tin overlay; hand-hammered and engraved with significant patterning and detail. 

Copper trays such as this piece were - and still are - the traditional gift from parents to child upon the child's marriage.  These trays were often combined with small iron legs, to make a serving piece that was easily transportable.  The detail on this piece, combined with a lovely patina, make it ideal for decorative purposes.
